I was born in the small city of
Cove. My father was originally a Naval officer aboard the frigate "H.M.S.
Osprey". My mother was a daughter of privilege, born to a wealthy merchant family in
Vesper. It was during her days of responsibility-free youth that she had the time and
means to dabble in the arcane arts.
My Father and Mother met at an elegant officer's ball thrown by Lord
Blackthorne in his castle, and they were married a year later. My Father enjoyed a
storied, yet short, career helping Lord British keep the seas safe from the likes of the
Pirates of Buccaneer' Den - many a brigand rested in the Bone Yard after tasting his
steel.
One day the "Osprey" was attacked by a Sea Serpent of
unimaginable size - the crew fought valiantly, but the frigate was crushed as if it were
made of matchsticks - all hands were lost, save my father, who now bears an ivory peg-leg
as a grim reminder of the tale. (To this day, reports and sightings of this Serpent
persist as well as many a lost vessel attributed to this creature).
My father then "retired" to a life as the Lighthouse Keeper in
Cove. This relatively quiet life allowed my father much time to teach his eldest living
son the art of war and the intricate dance of a cold steel blade. From my mother I gleaned
what she had learned of magic (not much but at least it was enough to heal myself and the
like.)
I spent my youth fishing for Stripers and Flounder off the rocks and
beaches near Cove and running from the Orcs and Ettins that resided to the south. As I
grew older, I grew stronger and learned more and more from my father - soon I no longer
had to run from lone orcs, I stood and fought, sometimes winning and sometimes I had to
turn tale and run back to Cove.
But, as the years went on my abilities improved to the point that that
wanderlust overcame me and I decided to shake off the dust of the village of Cove and set
out on my own. I spent many years travelling the lands of Britannia alone - exploring and
adventuring, meeting new friends and fighting for virtue but never settling down to a
cause. It was indeed a fateful day that I met Auldrek of Tuatha De Danann in Lord
British's Castle - he spoke of the dark oncoming tide of evil and chaos that needed to be
curbed - we talked more in the following days and soon he introduced me to Tuatha De
Danann - I saw a fantastic opportunity to fight for Virtue side-by-side with my fellow
Celtic Brothers .... Many adventures and many fantastic experiences later, new chapters of
this story continue to be written each day ...
